Looking to the future from the past and present. To coincide with Salone del Mobile 2022, now in its 60th edition, Kartell Museo presents “A CELEBRATION”, a special exhibition by Elisa Storace that celebrates six important anniversaries for our brand: the 50th of Gancio, the wall clothes hook by Olaf von Bohr and Portariviste, Giotto Stoppino’s magazine holder, the 10th of Invisible Table by Tokujin Yoshioka and the Audrey chair by Piero Lissoni, and the 20th of the Louis Ghost chair by Philippe Starck and the Fl/y lamp by Ferruccio Laviani, the launch of which heralded the reopening of Kartell’s Lighting division. With the aid of illustrations by Valentina Grilli, the exhibition presents these products as characters in a game of continuous references and personification, and celebrates the anniversaries of the six Kartell creations illustrating their conception and evolution using sources from the archives of Kartell Museo. Materials include the drawings and models that determined their final form, and advertisements and promotional images from different periods that recall the atmosphere of the times and help us to understand the decisions and objectives behind each design.
