A “documentary” volume that uses the objects stored in Italian corporate museums to recount the past, the evolution of civilizations and cultures, and the stories of hidden treasures and every-day objects. The story of “Made in Italy” objects is told with a common thread in a single document: they are symbols of industry that tell the story of companies, the workforce and their entrepreneurs. The book is a research project created thanks to the curators of the museums which are part of Museimpresa. The Association aims to promote the cultural policy of businesses with the ambitious goal of helping to publicize the story of the economic, social and cultural evolution of our country. This journey through Italian history is recounted in a book published by Carocci Editore, that accompanies us through the conception, technology, imagination and design of the objects that have defined the history of Italian industry. From the Parola all’Oggetto (Word to the Object) meetings to the Oggetti d’Impresa (Corporate objects) column, which appeared in Il Sole 24 Ore’s “Domenica” insert, to the 50+! Il grande gioco dell’industria exhibition, Museimpresa delves into the history of the objects that have defined Italian industry.
