“Spazio Strega” is the space dedicated to the brand Strega Alberti.

It is located in Benevento, inside the factory where the company was born in 1860 and it continues to produce liqueurs and confectionery products, with the constant attention to quality that distinguishes the Alberti family’s business.

The route introduces the visitor to the discovery of the legend that inspired the Liquore Strega. The irresistible scent of the different herbs and spices inebriates the entrance to the herbalist’s shop, where the historic chest of drawers that houses the secret recipe of the Liquore Strega is displayed.

The route continues in the vintage distillery, among the historic swan-neck stills that are still active for production today. The Imitations room houses a collection of over 400 counterfeit bottles produced all over the world. The next stage takes the visitor to discover the cellar, where the liqueur is aged.

Of cultural interest is the room dedicated to the Premio Strega (the most important Italian literature prize), where the history of the literary prize is told through a collection of historical images and covers of the winning books, through the historical blackboard that since 1947 has been deciding the winner of the prize, but also through the presentation of novels and cultural initiatives dedicated to promoting literature.

The museum also organizes free guided tours, educational tours, hosts themed conferences, promoting the close relationship between the company and the territory.
