SIMAI S.p.A. was established in 1950 as a company importing industrial materials and then became a manufacturer of handling equipment.
Over the years, SIMAI has specialised in the design, manufacture and sale of electric tow tractors and platform trucks for horizontal handling. Currently it offers the widest range in Europe and has become one of the top European players in this specific sector.

Design, development and customer service have always been at the heart of SIMAI activity, to consistently provide products that are cutting edge. Reliability and safety over time are ensured by SIMAI maintenance, spare parts and after-sales services. SIMAI solutions range from standard to bespoke vehicles, according to the specific and complex logistical needs of the Customer.

In 2016, SIMAI was acquired by Toyota Material Handling Europe. The SIMAI Museum tells the history of the company from the year of its birth in 1950 until today, divided by decade.

In the Museum some historical models are visible and completely restored, in a single copy, which represent unique pieces made in the life of the Company. The history of SIMAI is illustrated through photos, brochures and historical documents kept in special display cases, through which it is possible to retrace the path started more than 70 years ago with all its evolutions and transformations.
